Vincent McAviney is a TV and radio correspondent with extensive live broadcasting experience.
Based in London he works as a freelance correspondent and presenter for a number of domestic and international news outlets. Current clients include BBC News, ITV News, Channel 4 News and 5 News. He also hosts several podcasted shows for Monocle Radio. Recent examples of his work can be found here.

A dual national with UK and Irish citizenship, he speaks French fluently and has reported from more than 25 countries.
Since starting his career as a Producer and News Editor at Sky News he’s taken their bold and enthusiastic approach into subsequent producing and reporting roles. Being a self-producing reporter for leaner organisations like LBC and NBC News/Euronews has honed his ability to travel and get on-air swiftly when stories break and to provide detailed analysis as they develop, often with very little support for extended periods.
Not only is Vincent a confident and reliable on air personality, he's also an experienced shooter and editor, frequently filming his own material. Vincent is at the forefront of Mobile Journalism - using iPhones to shoot top quality TV reporting with a proven versatility and resilience in the field. A multi-platform journalist, he’s also written articles, features and profile interviews for websites and national newspapers. He is an active member of both the Lobby and the Crime Reporters Association.
Vincent is keenly aware of the importance of digital platforms in building the reach and reputation of new international news organisations. He’s passionate about using social media to generate and develop stories by engaging with viewers to give voice to underreported issues and sections of society. In his previous role he’s work closely with digital teams to provide bespoke content for varying output across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and websites.
He also have keen eye for video that will gain traction online and the bespoke editing often required for mobile viewing to maximise audience reach. Several of his Mojo videos have gone viral garnering hundreds of thousands of plays online and have been picked up news organisations around the world.
Prior to entering a career in journalism Vincent worked in the UK House of Commons as a Parliamentary Assistant for a Shadow Minister. This has provided him with a deep background knowledge of UK politics, government and legislative affairs.
Vincent grew up in Jersey and Luxembourg, studying Law as an undergraduate and masters student at Durham University before obtaining a second MA with distinction in Political Journalism at City University, University of London.
When not chasing stories, Vincent likes to swim, play saxophone, travel and has a passion for photography.
